Many of your local pet stores will not carry glider foods and certain supplements.   They just do not have enough clientele to do so.  You will have to obtain them from a mail order source.  These are some very good ones in the industry.

LIVE FOOD SOURCES-Most of these companies sell mealworms as well.  Don’t forget to order the gut load products from these sources to help keep your crickets alive until you feed them to your pets.  The gut load also has supplements that the crickets eat, which in turn benefits your animals.  We have found the gel gut loads work the best.

If purchasing crickets in bulk, it is best to purchase a 10 gallon aquarium with a screen cover.  The gel gut load will provide them with vitamins and it is also a source of water so they will not dehydrate.  That eliminates the need for a water bowl.  However, you will need to cut a potato or apple for them to eat, otherwise, your insect investment will starve.
