Tiny Tails Transport, LLC (USDA)

We have a March Ground Transport Route.  They will not go to the states in yellow currently, because it can be dangerous to transport in Winter Weather.   Arizona has been added to the list as well as New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.  She made the illustration a little early.     In the meantime, we can look at Delta Cargo for those states, if the weather is good.

Transport fees for Ground Transport-$450 for a pair.  This only includes the transport fees, the vet health certificate (required to cross state lines) and the travel cage.  It does not include your chosen animals, or any supplies you may need from my store.  Please add an additional $50 for any more than 2 animals.  My vet will charge more for each glider over 2 she must examine for the health certificate.

This is the true cost of shipping.  There are some sites that claim they can send your gliders for cheap using the US Postal Service or Fed Ex.  This is untrue and illegal.  Although reptiles and fish can be sent this way, it’s illegal to send warm blooded mammals in this manner.  The trucks used are not heated or cooled and it’s a death sentence for any furry pet sent this way.  If they are telling you that they can use those services for you, they are a SCAM.  Don’t believe them.  If you doubt me, please contact USDA APHIS AT www.APHIS.USDA.GOV.

I can also send you to my USDA Inspector.  She will inform you of this, as well.  The only safe and legal ways for mammal pet transport is either with a USDA Licensed Ground Transporter, or with Delta Cargo, or with the breeder themselves.

We also have Delta Cargo.   The temperature controlled cargo bays have heat.  As long as it’s not under 20 degrees, the airlines will take them.  I just have to watch weather, and send on a clear day.

Please contact me for pricing on shipping with Delta Cargo.  I will also need to find your closet cargo office, that accepts pets.

Some people have contacted me saying they will fly into Phoenix or Las Vegas and fly back with them in cabin.  This is not going to be able to happen.  Too many people have taken advantage of the “service animal” loophole, and during COVID, it was permanently closed by the FAA.   Only breeders with a USDA License who has a commercial permit with the airlines to transport, are able to get your animals checked in.  Sugar gliders are considered exotics.  By FAA rules, the airlines can only place them on planes in a cargo section that is heated and cooled as needed and pressurized.  The only airlines that even do this any longer are Delta and American Airlines.  I would have to arrive to do this.  I don’t even bother with American because their rates are much higher than Delta.

If you want to fly into one of the local airports and rent a car that you can drive home in, that would work out better.  But you will not be able to get your sugar gliders in cabin and they will not accept them from you at the cargo office, unless you have the licenses that I do.  The only animals allowed in cabin are some small breeds of dogs, cats and some birds.  Sugar gliders will always have to fly in cargo.

If you wish a local delivery with me (Phoenix or Las Vegas areas), the cost is $250 for my gas and time on the road.  There is never a fee if you pick up your chosen pair, when ready, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
